I have a Uniden cordless phone and have been using Uniden HS-915 headsets because I really like having the audio on both ears. Unfortunately, both of the Uniden headsets that I have suddenly stopped working–the microphone no longer worked. So I am searching for a decent replacement.
Based on the positive reviews and low price of the MX500i, I gave it a try. First the fit. At first, it seemed like it was awkward to put on and loose on my ear, with the microphone moving away from my face. It seemed like it would fall off at any time it was so loose (but it didn’t). After some fiddling, I finally figured out an adjustment that keeps it snug to my ear so that it does not flop around. (see video) This works for me, but may not work for other ear ‘types’. After putting the headset on, and directing the speaker directly into the center of your ear, gently push the back of the speaker towards the back of your head to rotate it, angling the font of the speaker in your ear canal so that it is pointing forward–basically pointing the speaker into your ear canal. This small adjustment holds the headset against my head much better, keeping the headset from moving away from my cheek. It still seems comfortable and the sound quality still seems fine. Once I found this adjustment technique, the fit improved dramatically and I was much happier with the headset.
The ’speaker’ sound quality seems to be very good. Very clear, plenty loud enough at standard volume. With my Uniden cordless phone, I do notice some hissing when the Plantronics volume adjustment is near its highest setting. It is also there with my other headsets, but the Platronics seems to have more treble and better highs, making it a little more apparent.

I am not a big reader of books. If a book doesn’t capture my interest within the first 3 pages, I put it aside…never to be opened again. A friend of mine purchased the first book for me at Christmas. Although I thanked her for the gift, I scoffed inside thinking to myself, “who wants to read a book about vampires? -silly.” Well, I went on a trip to California and wanted to bring something along to read on the plane, so I took the Twilight book. I ended up reading the entire thing and couldn’t wait to get back home to order the next one. Before I finished the 2nd book, I ordered books 3 and 4. I felt as though I knew the characters personally! The entire series is awesome and you find yourself not wanting to put them down because you have no preconceived guess on what’s going to happen next. Highly recommended.

I was born and raised in the south. My Mom was a maid and I wonder if she had to suffer the indecencies of these fictional women. The writer made thse women come alive. I’ve read this book three times and will probably read it again. I’ve also recommended it to my friends.

My friend and I usually have the same taste in books. She loved Twilight. When she loaned me her copy of Twilight, I anticipated it to be an amazing novel.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The plot holes. There were so many plot holes in Twilight. For example, were the kids at Forks High so stupid that they didn’t notice the Cullens’ eye color changing? Or how Edward and his family skipped school every time there was a sunny day? Didn’t they ever brush against a Cullen by accident, and realize how cold and hard their skin was? Why didn’t Carlisle Cullen ever think of homeschooling? I could go on forever? Why did 5 guys fall in love with Bella in Forks, while she had NO guy attention in Phoenix?
The characters where completely unoriginal. They ALL fit into a stereotype. Bella was the typical “weak” female, with no redeeming qualities. Edward was the hot guy, Mike/Eric/Tyler/ were the guys that had crushes on Bella, with no other parts to their personalities. Alice was the bubbly shopoholic, Lauren was the jealous queen bee. NONE of them had anything more to their personalities.
The superficiality of Edward and Bella’s relationship. He liked her, because she smelled good. She liked him because he was gorgeous. That’s all to their relationship. It’s nothing about personality.
The writing style. Stephenie Meyer kept elaborating about Edward’s looks .It makes the reader want to hurl. Also, Stephenie Meyer adds impressive vocab to make herself sound smart. (I have no problem with impressive vocab, it’s just the way it doesn’t even fit in the story)
Why does Edward watch Bella sleep? Doesn’t anyone realize how twisted that is? That’s not love. That’s creepy obsesssion.
Bella has nothing at all to her personality. She was supposed to be plain, yet guys are all over her. She flirts with Jacob, and then blows him off for Edward.
Don’t read Twilight if you value your time. Read Anne Rice.

Had Office 2000 previously but purchased the Office Home and Student 2007 to make sure I was prepared for online classes. Am not happy with this product. Too many changes,hard to find simple things like changing the font. Office assistant is gone. I have to go online to get help. Hopefully it is just a learning curve but I really miss my Office 2000.

This carpet cleaner cleans fairly well, however it does NOT dispense the cleaner as it should. The only way I am able to dispense the cleaner is by using the “surge” switch, then it dispenses too much at one time. I would NOT recommend this product.
Switch 4500G Local Connection
I bought this for my wife to use on her bike that she uses inside (on a bike mount)and outside. Therefore, I was hoping to be able to install the sensor on the back tire since the front tire is stationary when she is inside. However, the wireless range is not far enough to reach if the sensor is on the back tire.
The item seems to be a good item, and a good price if you don’t need to install it on the back tire. It was very easy to install and set up.

Have been able to use it for cycling also. I can now know the milage of some of my favorite running routes and more accurately keep up with my weekly milage for training.

I didn’t know much about the brand and was very reluctant to buy, but for the price and size of the card you really can’t go wrong. I’ve always had good experience with SanDisk but couldn’t justify paying double for the same type of card. I can’t say that the Transcend is any better or worse than the equivalent SanDisk, but as far as taking pictures and video I have no complaints. The videos look sharp and clean with no lag. Pictures load fast and look great. I definitely would consider Transcend more in the future.
