I have two cats–one short haired and one long haired Maine Coon cat. This works ok on my short haired cat, no better or no worse than a regular pet comb or brush, but he doesn’t really have a lot of extra fur. However, it is quite a different story for my Maine Coon! On the very first pass with the Furminator, I was able to extract more fur than I would be able to get with half an hours worth of work with my old cat brush! Wow, the amount of hair that came off this cat was amazing! I honestly do not know how he has any hair left! I’ve only used this tool once (today) but I expect there will be A LOT less fur on the couches by next week–after all, how much more fur can this cat have! I’d say I took at least 1 grocery bag full of hair off this cat today. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this tool! Great buy at any price!
Eat well in Ireland
I am pissed that this card did not come with a case. Come on, SD cases sell for a penny on Ebay, how much money did the manufacturer save by not including a case, less than a penny. But it’s a major inconvenience for me, now I have to buy a case for this card which is a spare and won’t be in the camera. Transcend just lost a customer, I hope it was worth the penny.

I finished reading this book, after having heard about it for at least a year. I must say I was a young bride in the sixties, engrossed in my life and not truly realizing what was taking place in our southern states. The book brought to me an invitation into their lives at that time. Fact or fiction I thank Ms Stockett for her story. I found myself apologizing, yes, for not truly having the knowledge I should have had. There were many heart warming stories, so many humorous parts I had to pause, lay the book down as I enjoyed what I had just read. When it was a time of horror I again found I had laid the book down while my mind and heart caught up with each other. I had to just pause and give myself time. I found myself laughing aloud and cheering for Abileen and the other black ladies and their strength and boldness they forced upon themselves. So proud of them was/am I and of dear Skeeter. The ending was good, many good things were happening all due to their bravery! … I thank the author for her having enlightening me to this particular part of life in the south. MWM

This is a wonderful story. Historic fiction with drama and angst. Animal lovers will hate and love this story. Jacob is such a wonderful character and teaches so much by sharing his story. A reminder that love and goodness are worth fighting for…also a reminder that the elderly are worth your time.

I could not put this book down! I am in my 30’s and started to read this as recommended by a friend. I loved it. I got everyone in the office to read it and my Mom- she’s very picky and in her 60’s. They all are hooked! Must read before seeing the movie.

This cleans just as good as rental steam cleaners and is much easier to handle. And who knows where the rental machines have been! We have owned this cleaner for over 2 years and it still works great. With 3 adults, one large dog, and 2 cats in our home it is still amazing to me how filthy the water is in the return container after each cleaning. If you have pets you really need this machine. And don’t forget to use the upholstery attachment for your car. I recently cleaned an automobile carpet that had years worth of cola, food, and unidentifiable dried stains in the fiber of the carpet. This cleaner got out almost all of the stains and the car smells so much better. I do not use the expensive cleaning solutions, the Wal-Mart or Target brand of steam cleaning solution works just as well. I purchased the optional hardwood floor attachment and this machine does a great job cleaning our linoleum. I highly recommend this Hoover steam cleaner.
