This is an excellent product. The price was great (about half what is charged for the other “Furminator” products) and it does exactly as advertised. I suggest that you use this outdoors however, as the fur
really flies. I recommend it! It works great!

A very enjoyable read. The story held my interest throughout, though towards the end the book became very predictable, especially since it became quickly apparent that the character “Skeeter” was autobiographical. I liked the book partly because I thought the author did a good job avoiding making her characters into caricatures or complete stereotypes. But I constantly wondered how the story may have been different if it had been written from the perspective of a daughter of one of the black maids, as opposed to the daughter of the white family that employed them. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Book: Artemis Fowl #1
Author: Eoin Colfer
By Alexander Hall
12-year-old Artemis Fowl is a criminal mastermind. It is his job to get his family fortune back. It all started when Russians sank his dad’s ship. Artemis Fowl Sr. had bought a cargo ship with 250 thousand cans of Coca Cola on it. He was going to sell it for money for years. Russians didn’t like the idea of an Irish tycoon selling all of it in their market. They sank his ship. No one has seen him since, so they all think he’s dead. Artemis Fowl Jr. has an idea. If he gets money from fairies, he can sell it and make millions. All he has to do is get an ancient rulebook for fairies, translate it, and capture a fairy. This would be easy for Artemis, considering that he is a kid prodigy. But this small kidnap will turn into a war.
This funny book for all ages will get you thinking. You will not know whose side to take because Eoin makes you feel like one of the fairy officers or one of Artemis’ butlers in every chapter. Will Artemis win? Or will the fairies wipe them out of existence?

This book has all the ingredients for a great movie: action, romance, history, comic relief and even a little violence. The cruelty to animals was a little hard to take at times but wasn’t gratuitous. Overall an excellent story.

Althought the picture doesn’t show it, this unit does come with a heart rate monitor. Not good for hiking as the GPS is not designed for that purpose.

Ordered this because it had great reviews, and love it so much I ordered another one for my daughter. It’s light and easy to use, and picks up great. I’ve only had it for a short time, but am very pleased with my purchase so far.

I bought this because my budget dictated it. I thought I wanted the Polar RS800, but couldn’t afford it. However, after purchasing this watch with both the transition wristband and the speed/cadence sensor, I am very happy my budget DID dictate. The watch is larger than a normal watch, but is big enough to actually read clearly up to four data fields, times 3 because you can scroll through two main screens as well as an activity specific screen. You can input your own running/cycling zones and it will show you where you are (i.e zone 2.5 for mid-zone 2). I love being able to see distance/pace for running. And I like the Garmin connect on-line, which I am now using to track all my workouts. Cycling/running is instantaneous, but I can also input my swim workouts as well. I don’t think I would go with the Polar, looking back. I may upgrade to the 310, but only because of a longer battery life (supposedly). The manual says the battery life is 11 hours, but I have not confirmed it yet.
