I used to use those cheap pedometers that were handed at health fairs. They were way off b/c they were too sensitive and did not have any memory. The Omron HJ-112 is very easy to use. It has a little booklet to help you put in your weight, stride and the time. I can see up to 7 days worth of steps, aerobic steps, kcals, and miles walked. My goal is 10,000 steps (5 miles)/day, so I just clip it on along with the safety strap and proceed through my day. If you want to download your steps on a PC, you can always get Omron HJ-720ITC for $10 more. But I like the Omron HJ-112 b/c it’s user friendly and so easy to use.

This scale looks great, just as in the picture. I like the backlit screen – the numbers are large and very easy to see. Seems pretty accurate (well, at the very least it is precise). You just need to step on it for it to give you a reading you don’t need to turn it on before you get on or anything. Overall great product!

Incredible device, can not say enough good things about this IPOD touch. One MAJOR downside for me; Can not use more than one computer which means multiple music or photo files or e-mail from a different user can not be loaded. We are retired and purchased this IPOD Touch for both of us to use and we find we can not. She is Chinese, I am not, so our music taste are obviously very different. It is not affordable for us to purchase another IPOD touch. Therefore she now has a very expensive toy.

This terrific hand tool does all those little jobs I hesitate to bring out the blender or the Cuisinart or the KitchenAid mixer for. When I moved out of my old house, I left the hand mixer behind, and thought I’d try this as a replacement on a whim. Wow! Wow! Little amounts, big amounts. It comes out at nearly every meal.
It makes perfect gravy — no lumps. Whipped cream (don’t use the whisk, but the other handle attachment) is fast and stays at the “stiff peaks” level for a long time. Chopped onions — no tears. Salsa – Ole!
Everything washes in the dishwasher except the handle itself. My kids love using it, and I was able to get one for my relatives in England that runs on the correct voltage.
I’ve even been able to use it as the mixer for things such as pre-mixing a RIT dye bath, making the base for edible play clay, starch mixes, and glue sculptures and homemade “glitter glue.”
I like it so much, I’ve been buying them for friends and relatives as presents

My dash slopes toward the floor but this base holds my GPS and its power cord, with it’s FW enhancement, in place on my dash in spite of where I drive. It hasn’t slipped an inch yet. A second big plus is, unlike a suction base that is glued in place, when I stow the GPS and the base, it leaves no evidence in the sight of would be thieves to announces there is a GPS unit in my car. It’s X shape conforms to the contours of the dash better than cheaper circular designs.

The Garmin portable friction mount is great for California use because it allows you to have it on the center of your dash where the driver AND the passenger can see it. Without a dash board mount, it can only be mounted in a small corner of the window. Actually they should outlaw the use of GPS devices, cell phones, iPods, etc., while driving, i.e., all the other drivers except me.

Unable to carry two bikes. I’ve had two problems with the Allen bike carrier. When I took Allen Deluxe 2-Bike Trunk Mount Rack out of the box, apparently fully assembled, it would not fit on the car. I had to take it appart and reverse one set of contact pads. Fine, and it was a nice light and easy to put on carrier. Then came the show stopper, when the second bike’s pedal jammed into the deraillor of the first bike. I tried reversing the second bike, but then the handle bars interfered. The Allen carrier’s bars are too short for our two normal road bikes, and we have since bought a larger and heavier trunk mount carrier that is a much better design and fully supports both our bikes much more stably.
