Mount is perfect weight, perfect friction, and durable construction. It should almost be a standard purchase with a garmin. I like that I can just slide the horn off and set the base under my seat then put the horn in the glove box or somewhere with the car charger. It was great being able to have my wife mess with the GPS features without having to unhook it then she puts it back on the dash. I had no problem changing setting while I was driving and it just seemed to put the GPS in a more natural unobtrusive location.
