I eventually gave up on attempting to cope with the suction cup method of attaching my Garmin to the dash. For about the past year when using the GPS I had just stuck it in the cup-holder or held it in my right hand when needed. This was not safe and a permanent solution was needed. Used one of these in a rental car and loved it so ordered this one from Amazon.
It works fantastic. Its heavy bean filled leafs and non slide bottom allows it to be placed on the dash and shifted around as needed. It has never slipped or slid while on the dash. Have used it in different vehicles and it stays secure on all types of dash surfaces. The GPS holder snapped right into the ball socket with no issues. When parking it is easy to take off the dash and stash the unit on the passenger side floorboard.
I would strongly recommend this product to anyone with a Garmin GPS. My only complaint is no glue remover for the stupid suction mounting bracket that is perma-glued to the dash and no longer needed. Any ideas on how to remove it without ruining the dash?

My wife and I are totally thrilled with our Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer! We’ve given one to our friends on several occasions, and many in our exercise classes wear an HJ-112 during the time we are on our spinning bicycles! These are great for people in various degrees of rehabilitation, too, where walking is prescribed. Case in point: A relative of ours just had open heart surgery; he now proudly wears his pedometer every day…and is amazed how it motivates him to really enjoy walking!!! I am a backpacker, and I wear my pedometer on all my trips. It’s amazing how accurate this nifty electronic device is; and it’s nice knowing how far I’ve hiked to my lake-destination!!!

As I’ve started to branch out to reading a different type of book, Water for Elephants caught my eye, so I had to pick it up. I am so glad that I did! The setting was so raw and gritty and having it based on the history of circuses made it that much more fascinating. Sara Gruen was able to describe things so that I could easily picture the settings and all the circus workers. I just hope that the movie lives up to the book!

This is not a vampire book. It is a teenage romance novel where the object of Bella’s obsession just happens to be an unconventional vampire. (Snark Alert! If Bella had more life experience, she would know Edward’s behavior is much more frightening than his vampirism.)
Meyers does a really excellent job of capturing the thrill of smoldering glances, flirting, first kisses, first love. Will this story stand the test of time? I have no idea, but I think it probably will. Edward can’t hold a candle to Heathcliff (Wuthering Heights) for creepiness, and women have been crazy about him for centuries.

I have had my kindle 2 since Christmas of 09. It has given me the best reading experience I have ever had and I would recommend anyone wanting one to get it. I have read so many books since I got it and I know there will be a lot more. I also want to say, if your thinking about getting the nook don’t, I went to try it out and the response time is horrible, it is not what it is all cracked out to be. I will stick with Amazon kindle all the way, they are the first ones to make an e-book reader that downloads books wirelessly and all others are just imitations

It’s rare that I am surprised and astounded by the performance of a product. I’ve used a Ultimate Touch Instant Mat & Tangle Remover and it’s like for a long time on my cats. I have a fairly long haired cat that doesn’t shed excessively, but does shed. I can spend a 15 minutes working over my cat with the aforementioned and get an amount of fur equal to maybe 5 seconds with the FURminator.
I can see why they say it helps to reduce shedding. My cat enjoyed being groomed with this, for a while. Then he started nipping at me as if to say “I’ve had enough of this”. By that time (about 10 minutes) I’d gotten perhaps 2 or 3 heaping handfuls of loose fur off of him. He looks fine, and his coat feels great.
I will never use another cat brush again. There is no need to find a better product, and every product I’ve tried thus far has been vastly inferior to this one. The small size is just fine for a cat-sized animal.
Highest rating; best of breed.

This has the usual KitchenAid high quality we’ve come to expect. Sure, the specs were given, but without getting out a ruler or tape measure I wasn’t able to correctly picture the size of this mixer in my mind. It is quite large, especially when compared to the Braun I was replacing, making the KitcheAide a bit large and “unwieldy” to use. It surely does the job, and the variable speeds are great. It’s a fine product!

I liked that this book was brand new and still in the wrapping. I am happy that I was able to get this book.

Dedicated electronic or e-paper readers have been around for a while. They provide all the convenience of reading electronic content with the ease of reading that is associated with reading printed material. However, the high price of these devices, the low selection of books that are available in electronic format, and the hassle of having to connect your e-reader to the computer in order to get any content onto it were all the factors that mitigated against the wider adoption of e-readers. All of this changed with the introduction of Kindle. Amazon, an online selling website, surprised everyone when it decided to make an e-reader of its own and dramatically change the book publishing industry. The new device, Kindle, was already a huge hit in its first incarnation. The second generation Kindle has improved on the first one in many respects, and a year since its debut is still considered the best e-reader on the market.
I have owned the second generation Kindle since it first became available, and in my opinion the high regard in which it is held is greatly justified. Kindle is one of my favorite gadgets of all time, and it has completely changed the way I approach reading. I have become a much more voracious and efficient reader, and it has become relatively easy for me to read two or more books a week without interfering with my professional or personal lives. These days if I have a choice between reading a physical book or a Kindle edition, I choose the latter without hesitation. There are many reasons why this is the case, and I’d like to mention a few here.
Accessibility: I can access all of the books that are offered for Kindle at Amazon’s store pretty much anywhere in the world. Originally, the wireless book download was only available in the US, but the new international version of Kindle allows one to buy books in over a hundred countries. In the US the book download is free, but I’ve heard that there is a surcharge in some other countries. This still m
