The Man from Music

It will be difficult to write all that you will experience when and after reading this novel. I have sent this book to many friends. The words flow as if you are present with the characters engaged in conversation. The content brings reality into your heart. Everything I thought I understood about American history became a grain of sand as this tale is told. The art of writing in “voice” is rare. Thanks to Ms. Stockett for bringing this story of truth to us with skill that allows the heartbreaking truth of life as it took place in this country 30 years ago to be heard in ways that makes this book so much more than fiction,. I have had the gift of receiving help from “mother’s helper” with the six children in my care. We were two mothers, not household servant. Those tales could only have taken place without my knowledge. Each and every child benefited from the nurturing received from the woman who cared. Please read this remarkable book and accept the truth as written. The best is that at long last a novel is so well written it revives the art of writing that has not been seen in far too long. Congratulations to Kathryn Stockett. I hope this is not a one time book from this author, get it , read it, savor it, then share it. Then it becomes very easy to know that all continues to exist today. P.J.Today

I bought this from Amazon to use with my Garmin Nuvi 1490T GPS. Took me longer to open the bubble pack packaging with my knife, than it did to figure out how to mount my GPS on it and adjust it for easy viewing.

I drive a mini-van, so I put this up on the dash next to my suction cup mounted old GPS, and used it for a 300+ mile rount trip about 30 minutes after opening the package. It never budged at all, staying exactly where I put it at all times. Now, I’m not a race car style driver in my mini-van, but I’ve had to make quick stops, etc, and it didn’t move. Would it move if I slammed on my brakes while doing 70mph? Probably.

I’ve discontinued using my old GPS and cleaned my windshield of that left behind suction cup ring mark for the last time. Now, nobody can walk past my mini-van with the sun visors in the windshield, and be able to point to that ring mark on the windshield as evidence that I had a GPS or radar detector for them to steal.

Music In Exile Starz

iTouch came promptly, and is as advertised. I haven’t had a chance to test out the battery life, but I will be taking it along this weekend to listen to a book while we travel. So far, I love it, but it doesn’t replace my iPod Nano for listening to audiobooks while I exercise. The size of the Nano works better for that, but the other features of the iTouch make it a whale of a package.

I was not impressed with the book. Yes, it is intriguing and well-written. But the “wisdom” is what I would expect an articulate, well-versed liberal arts professor to say. So much of it is what we want to hear, what we want to believe. I felt like Neale created a God that placates people, tells them what they want to hear, tells of the wisdom of this age. I have read and studied several religious texts, from the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, etc. In my studies I came to know that the Bible holds the truth of God – but this is a realization for all of us to have individually with God. I actually picked up CwG before I came to believe in the Bible – and I put it down after I read it thinking that the book was filled with man’s wisdom. I had a course in college that taught the same thing. I was seeking God’s true wisdom and studied Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.

This book is nothing new, and tells people what they want to hear – not the truth of things. I don’t think God was the one moving Neale’s pen, I believe it was Neale’s own thoughts and wisdom moving his pen.

So, you can choose to listen to God’s truth or Neale’s truth. But this book is clearly full of Neale’s truth. The book takes basic modern-day mysticism tenets and attributes them to God moving Neale’s pen so Neale can enlighten the world.
Music Machine DVD 3

Lots of fun!. I got one of these for myself because Ucreate Music looked like fun, and I was not disappointed! My nephew who plays the guitar is going to get one for Christmas! There is a lot to this thing, I haven’t even explored all it can do yet. I really like the ability to customize the sounds with a connection to a computer. Plus it’s Mac compatible. The software that runs on my Mac is very well done and complete, with a simple user interface that makes it easy to use. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
