Unlike the V220 (and higher) series mice, this one lacks a ‘rubberized’ and contoured feel that may appeal to people who would use a mouse for extended periods or require a more tactile feedback and weight of the mouse. Additionally, the USB transmitter is quite large, about the size of a wide USB flash drive, and may be inconvenient as it may block closely-spaced USB ports on a laptop. As it is, though, this mouse is highly sensitive and of good quality and tracks as well as any mouse I have ever owned. If the size of the USB transmitter and the tactile-feel of the mouse is not an issue, this is a good budget alternative to the higher-end Logitech wireless mice.

I’m a big aficionado of “quiet” mice. The scroll-wheel is nearly silent, which is nice. The buttons are a bit loud and clacky – a feature which could be improved with any computer mouse, in my opinion.

This mouse is seamlessly Macintosh compatible, as long as you download and install the Logitech Control Center. From there, you can customize the mouse settings to your liking. The Logitech ‘left and right’ scrolling is ingenious, and is a much better design than the Apple Mighty Mouse. It is much easier to use and learn, and having the 2-button design of the Logitech Mini Optical Mouse is certainly and advantage over the Apple Mighty Mouse.
