This is a great way to use your Garmin in your car. The alternative is using the suction cups that come with your GPS. That is great but there may be some issues with that.
1st. There may be jurisdictions that frown upon sticking things to your front window.
2st. Theft. This can easily be moved under the seat or out of view. Even if you have a suction cup unit and take it down, it will leave the telltale ring on your window advertising to others that there is a GPS unit inside this car.
It sticks well on most any dashboard, stays secure despite hard turns and acceleration.
Overall, it works well. I recommend!!
I was quite excited to receive a Kindle 2 for my birthday in Dec. 2009 but since this is my first e-reader I wanted to use if for awhile before coming here to write a review. Six months later I can say I am still really pleased with it. I think I’ve only read one printed book since getting my Kindle!
I like that the Kindle is thin and lightweight – easy to hold one-handed for long periods of time. I did buy a cover for it (wish it had come with one) to give it a little more of a substantial feel in my hand (I was worried about it slipping out of my hand before putting the cover on it) and also to disguise it a bit when I take it out in public so it is not so obvious that I am carrying around an expensive electronic gadget.
I find the screen easy to read, easy on the eyes. I like that there are different font size choices. At times I do wish it was backlit or something (I don’t want to hassle with a book light), however I remind myself that it’s meant to be just like a printed book – you wouldn’t be able to read a regular book in a dark room either.
Overall I am really very happy with my Kindle and really enjoy using it. It’s user-friendly right out of the box, the battery seems to stay charged for a reasonably long period of time (and I like that I can charge it either through the AC adapter or through my computer’s USB connection), and I like that if I’m away from my Kindle I can pick up where I last left off reading by using Kindle for PC and/or the Kindle app for iPhone.
A few things I don’t *love* about the Kindle 2:
I wish the screen was bigger. It’s fine for reading…I just don’t use the keypad very often so I feel like that takes up space that could be better used by expanding the screen size. Perhaps the next version can have a touch screen with an on-screen keypad that you can bring up when you need to use it.
I haven’t played with the web browser much, but it seems limited and cumbersome for doing anything beyond searching for books on Amazon. Howev

I loved this book. I loved the circus atmosphere and the story. It was exceptionally well-written, and I enjoyed every page.
We have a vet student joining a circus, with mistreated animals he’s frantically trying to save and protect. We have a lovable elephant. The narrator is an old man looking back, and he recounts his tale in the immediacy of present tense as he describes situations that happened decades earlier. Interesting, and very effective choice, to write in present tense throughout.
The ONLY thing that keeps me from giving the book five stars was the lack of character development for Marlena. Throughout the story I understood the protagonist loved her, but she seemed to be the woman tied to the railroad tracks throughout – Nell being constantly tormented by Snidely Whiplash – and I never really got a sense of her as a person. Maybe I missed it (not surprising – I read the book in daily spurts while I walked a treadmill), but I didn’t even know how old she was. I got a much clearer picture of minor characters, like Rosemary, Kinko and Camel, than I ever did of her.
I also never understood the whole “water for elephants” thing that the protagonist railed about in the beginning of the book. Perhaps it was something else I missed.
Nevertheless, I loved the book, I loved the ending, and I know I’ll go back to read it again.

Spirituality, God, Religion these are very touchy subjects for most people. This book is an amazing take on religion. Neale Donald Walsh is a truly gifted author. If you are interested in christianity with a little less guilt read this book.

The Kindle is great tech – a well-designed, efficient e-reader that’s easy to use and a pleasure to have. It’s incredible to be able to tote around a library on something smaller than a sheet of paper; the Whispernet features make previewing and obtaining new books a breeze … and the discount is fantastic! The Kindle is single-handedly egging me on to greater heights of paperlessness! The battery life is unreal – 2 full weeks or more of casual reading. WOW. For the price with the functionality and possibilities of the Kindle, this is the real deal in e-readers. It can’t be beat. I’m thrilled with my purchase.
